Hunting
The hunting area of Gúth
The now world-famous hunting area of Gúth has been managed by the forestry company since 1957, and achieved its fame when the European fallow deer was introduced in 1972.
The trophies of the European fallow deer bucks killed here hold top three places in the world rankings. This is the only hunting area in the world that has already won the Edmond Blanc Award of the C.I.C. (International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation) twice. This is also due to the two world records, but most of all, the work done here, the coordination of game management, environmental protection and nature conservation were awarded with it. The area has been a treasure to be preserved for the world since 1997; it has a special purpose for the gene conservation of the fallow deer stock.
In addition to the European fallow deer, roebuck, red deer and winter game hunts add colour to the hunting palette. Individual hunting and hunting in groups, big game hunting on horse-drawn carriages, hunting from hunters’ high seat, individual still-hunting, deer calling, chasing, big game chasing are all available here. Two first-class hunting lodges and one second-class guesthouse satisfy all the needs of the hunting guests in this area.

There is a hunting area with a long history in the management of Fehérgyarmat Forestry Company, which includes the Lónya-Mátyus-Tiszakerecseny forest, rich in natural values, and its immediate surroundings, in a triangle formed by the Tisza River and the Bereg mountains. The hunting ground has gained its reputation for its conservation of the Carpathian-type red deer stock, the hunting of floodplain hermit boars, and one of the best snipe hunting opportunities in the country. In addition to the main game species, the red deer, the European fallow deer herd is also of great value. In the case of boar hunting, the guests are received in accordance with the then-current veterinary laws and the official decisions in force at any given date, mainly within the framework of individual hunting. The hunting area of Haláp
The almost completely forested Halápi hunting area is located at an easily accessible place, 15 km from Debrecen. The undisturbed and varied environment provides ideal conditions for the two main wild animal species, the roe deer and the wild boar. The size of the roe deer herd in the hunting area is kept at the maximum level required by the game-keeping capacity. The antlers of the roe deer bucks are medium in size, with an average trophy weight between 250 and 300 grams, however, a buck with a trophy weight between 400 and 500 grams is hunted each year. The trophies are beautiful, spectacular, have a nice groovy surface and an extremely beautiful colour. The roebuck hunting is primarily scheduled for the rutting period, because hunting during the roe deer rutting provides an unforgettable experience. This mode of hunting is extremely popular in the area.
